Postby acegear » Wed May 18, 2005 3:59 am

Defending Craftsman Truck Series Champion Bobby Hamilton became the first 2 race winner this season with his win over Jack Sprague in the UAW-GM Ohio 250 at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. In a race that saw 13 caution periods incuding the last one that extended thew race by 4 laps, Hamilton was able to hold off Sprague in a 2 lap shoot-out for a green-white-checkered finish to the race.

Ron Hornaday Jr had been leading the race and had led 119 laps when he was black flagged on lap 184 for jumping a restart early. He eventually fought his way to finish 11th however the black flag on the 1-2 mile track sunk any chance he had at the win.

Rounding out the top-5 were Shane Hmiel in 3rd, rookie Todd Kleuver 4th, and Rich Bickle 5th.

Next weeks race will be the Quaker Steak & Lube 200 presented by Click It or Ticket at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC on May 20, 2005 at 8:30pm EST.
