John Deere 200 Results

After being unable to chase down a hot Mark Martin in the 1st two races of the season, Todd Bodine finally got out of the 2nd place and took the win in the Craftsman Truck Series John Deere 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway over....Mark Martin. Martin was in the front of the pack with 5 laps to go followed once again by Bodine. However lapped traffic was deciding factor, as Martin encountered two slower trucks. Bodine went high, Martin went low, and Bodine came out ahead. A late race caution again set up a green-white-checkered finish, this time with Bodine in the lead. Martin didn't go down without a fight though, moving to the inside of Bodine after the restart, and even inching to the lead. But with Johnny Benson coming up fast from 3rd, Martin couldn't hold off both drivers and had to settle for 2nd.
