SCCA SPEED World Challenge Championship

The SCCA SPEED World Challenge Championship is the upper echelon of showroom stock sports car racing. Created in 1972 for strictly showroom production cars. Expanded in 1984 to include several manufacturers series, the World Challenge Series became one of the fastest growing race series in America.

Divided into 3 divisions: World Challenge, GT, and Touring; The World Challenge Championship covers all performance sports cars from Corvette's to BMW Sedans.

The 2005 schedule has been announced.

March 16-18 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, Sebring Int'l Raceway, Sebring, Fla.
April 1-3 Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, Fla.
May 20-22 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio
July 1-4 Lime Rock Park, Lakeville, Conn.
July 15-17 Infineon Raceway, Sonoma, Calif.
July 29-31 Portland International Raceway, Portland, Ore.
Aug. 12-14 CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix of Denver, Denver, Colo.
Aug. 19-21 Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wis.
Oct. 14-16 Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, Calif.
TBD* Road Atlanta, Braselton, Ga.
