NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Tony Stewart stepped back into the USAC series by taking the win in the USAC sprint car 60-lap "Rumble at Fort Wayne" in Fort Wayne Indiana. Stewart initially didn't think he was going to run as he had National Sprint Car Series champion Levi Jones take the car out for the hot lap portion of the event. But Tony must have noticed something he liked as he climbed in the car to post his 2nd consecutive fast time and start in 8th. Atfer that it was up to him to move to the front and hold for the checkered flag to take the final race of USAC's first 50 years.
A win is a win, and second place is never good enough
