Michael Waltrip officially announced the formation of Michael Waltrip Racing that will filed 2 cars in the NASCAR Nextel Cup series in 2007. Toyota will have have 2 cars fielded by Bill Davis Racing and another team yet to be announced, for a total of 6 cars. NAPA will continue as sponsor for Waltrips #55, and Caterpiller will continue to sponsor Bill Davis' #22. Word is that Red Bull will sponsor the 2 cars for the yet-to-be-announced team with the rumor being that this will be Robby Gordon team. However all Gordon would confirm is that he will be running Chevrolet's powered by DEI motors this season.
