Kasey Kahne continued his run back into contention in his NASCAR career with a win in the Busch Series Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After starting 10th on an unusually cold Las Vegas afternoon, Kahne was patient in the Ragu sponsored #9 as he worked his way towards the front, taking the lead on lap 72. As the race went on Kahne would loose the front spot but would regain it for good on lap 178. Kasey was able to hold off fellow Buschwaker Matt Kenseth for 20 laps, but Kenseth had found his groove and was making quite a run when the caution came out with 2 laps to go setting up a green-white-checkered finish. At the drop of the green Kahne got a good jump on Kenseth and was able to hold him off for the win. This is Kahne's 4 win the Busch Series and his first in Las Vegas.
