#20 out of control?

Postby acegear » Mon Mar 13, 2006 5:20 am

It appears the old Tony Stewart is back with a vengance. After the warm and fuzzy reincarnation last season it looks like the cocky bully is back to stay. The past couple of races have seen the #20 blatantly pushing his through the field and taking out his frustations on whomever might be in the way. In Fontana we saw him try to run Matt Kenseth off the track on several occasions, and now in Vegas the object of his anger was Kyle Busch for who knows why. Thing is, what was the reason for the turn around?

Tony is a hard one to figure out. He takes his racing very seriously...seems it's all the bullshit that gets him riled up. The talk shows showed why Tony was pissed at Kyle---Kyle hit him then claimed he did nothing wrong.
I'm trying to educate you, you aren't letting that happen.

So what.....it's ok for Tony to race that way and nobody else? I thinks it's true especially in light of his comments before Daytona about "someone getting killed" then he literally goes across the track to take Kenseth out. You want fair racing? Take Tony out for a couple of races so that he will settle down. Just like cheaters, unsafe drivers should sat down more often than they are.

I agree the unsafe drivers should be punished too. Why Nascar didn't do something to Tony is something I'll never understand, as he certainly isn't their "golden boy". Seems it's all about that beloved "drama" of Nascar. If they sat out all the unsafe drivers it would be a mighty small field.
I was told a story a few years ago, one I didn't believe at the time, but now do. It seems a couple of official "someones" would go into a couple of the pits, these someones would say something to the effect of...."You and so and so are going to have problems, how you create those problems is up to you." End of story. Drama and ratings and money--round and round it goes.
