NASCAR Busch Series

Postby acegear » Fri Oct 22, 2004 7:38 pm

The NASCAR Busch series is the minor leagues for NASCAR's Nextel Cup. A combination of experienced Cup drivers mixed in with new and learning drivers just shooting for a win, makes for exciting racing from week to week. The Busch series generally races the same tracks and weeks as the Nextel Cup. This provides the Cup racers the opportunity to scout the track and find the lines that will work for the Cup race the next day. While on the other hand, the rookies, and drivers that don't have a Cup ride are looking to beat the Cup drivers and make a name for themselves.

The differences between the Busch series and the Nextel cup are that the races are shorter for the Busch series. The car rules also differ. The Busch series is allowed a more late model car with separate templates for each manufacturer, while the Cup cars have a common template.

All in all if you like great racing with superstar stock car racers and up and coming rookies, the Busch series is a great place to start!
