NASCAR handed down it heaviest penalty ever to a crew chief. Chad Knaus was suspended from attending any NASCAR functions including practices and races until Bristol for a total of 4 races in addition to a $25k fine. The severity of the penalty even surprised Knaus who has made no apologies for the "adjustment" he made to the rear window of Jimmie Johnsons car. But questions still remain over the legality of Johnsons Daytona winning car, despite Knaus not being involved for the race. In fact, questions will follow Knaus whereever he may end up as his reputation is such of that as one who will push the rules to the breaking point to get ahead. Whether this proves to a long lasting tarnish on NASCAR will take time to fully realize.
A win is a win, and second place is never good enough
