The International Karting Federation (IKF) was established in 1957 with the publication of thier first set of rules for competitive karting. Since that time the IKF has established 13 regions across the United States and Canada. Each region has a race series in addition to Grand National Events for each class.
Classes are:
- 2-Cycle Sprint
- 4-Cycle Speedway
- Road Race
- 2-Cycle Speedway/Speedway Midget
- 4-Cycle Sprint
- Shifter
Each class has about 17 sub-classes for different ages and engines.

A win is a win, and second place is never good enough
