Modified Motor Show

Postby SB » Tue Sep 20, 2005 3:17 pm

July 17th this year i headed down to Edinburgh, Scotland to a modified motor show and took some photos. I thought i might share them with you all!

You will have to excuse the blurry effect on alot of the photos. The light in the room was not good for my camera. It looked stupid with the flash on and it wasnt much better without the flash. You will have to excuse that

A nice US Mustang! pretty sweet vehicle i couldnt resist not taking a photo.

This is a very modified version of the car i am currently driving. A Renault Clio.

Image

This blue fiesta is a very poorly modified version of my old car. Had to take a photo though

Dont you just love this Spoiler?

This Black Peugeot 306 was really impressive with the body paint work. It was also complete with a trailor which was the back end of another Peugeot 305 and designed to be road legal as a trailer. Completely soldered and designed to look like a half car which was cool! I wish i took a photo of the actual exterior of the trailer.

Image

...I did however, take a phot of the interior of the trailer.

I have many more photos. I just didnt want to clog up the site with all of them. Feel free in letting me know if you are interested in seeing more of the vehicles? Some being a modified Hummer (3, i think).

Will post some more photos later on. I have to upload them onto either my website or a photo web host. Will take a few moments.

Here you go...

Here is a picture of that Hummer i mentioned in my original post...

Image

It was interesting to see that there was only two seats in this vehicle. The rest of the space was filled up with television screens and huge amps and some small speakers as you can see on the inside of the door.

Image

I had to take a photo of the spoiler. It was just strange seeing such custom made spoiler on this car. I quite liked the angle of my shot as well.

Image

This is a V6 engine for a Mitsubishi Lancer (not sure on the Evo as i never took a photo of the car )

Image

I have never seen a pick up truck as big as this...

Image

This is a picture of the recently modified front of a car i too a photo of at a previous motor show back in May. I was quite relieved to see this car again as i quite liked the unique look about it...

Image

Here is another photo of that Peugueot 306 car focusing mainly on the body paint which i loved.

The photo of the yellow/orange spoiler has alot of interesting angles there. The hummer looks like it has alot of features built into it. Looks really cool. Definetely some nice cars there.

Modified auto show

Postby stagger » Thu Mar 09, 2006 9:58 pm

SB, thank you for posting the pictures. Those of us who don't get very far out of this country, are interested in what is in a show over there. Do you see any stock or modified Sunbeam Alpines over there. I noticed a couple of US built rigs there. Are they imported into your country, or are there dealers over there for them?

Out of the vehicles i took a photo of the only two i can see that were imports (assuming USA) was the Hummer and the Ford Mustang as you can see that they are both left hand side stearing wheel and as you might know we have right hand drives.

I dont believe i have ever seen a Sunbeam Alpine before (maybe on the TV, but thats about as extreme as it will get) however i cant imagine there wont be any in the UK as somebody might have shipped them over at one point as a collectors item.

With regards to US build rigs, as i say i believe they are imports but i am pretty certain you can buy the Ford Mustang here now (which is pretty cool as i want one ).
