Charger/Mustang

Postby SB » Fri Jan 06, 2006 7:05 pm

Does anyone know of anywhere i can find a Dodge Charger (like General Lee) or a Ford Mustang of the same age that might be going for cheap/scrap?

I am quite keen on shipping one over here and working on it as a hobby for 2006.

Have you determined how much it will cost to ship a car of that size over there? I would suppose it would be quite expensive.

I understand its not very cheap, i wanted to look at the basics first so i know how to budget it. If a 68(or 69) Charger/Mustang is going to cost say $1000 at least by having that figure i would have a better understanding on what i am looking at paying.

I think you are looking at a quite bit more than that my friend. The way that these vehicles are being snapped up by collectors, the price has gone huge in recent years. I wouldn't be surprised if you were looking at upwards of $5k for a rusted out old hulk, let alone a straight project car. I'll keep my eyes open however, maybe there is one around for cheap.

That is odd, i understand that the Charger for example would be quite expensive due to the fact they have released a Dukes of Hazzard film and many people would be wanting a General Lee of their own.

I heard from a friend in Arizona you can get the Ford Mustang quite cheap. Perhaps not.

Thanks for the advice acegear!
