Due to a snow out for the qualifying session for the Nextel Cup Food City 500, the starting lineup will be determined by the owners points standings from 2005. Therefore by virtue of his championship status, Tony Stewart will start from the pole for the first Bristol race of the season. Sharing the front row will be Greg Biffle thanks to his 2nd place finish in last seasons standings.
