Ryan Newman tied the Busch Series record for consecutive wins with his 4th straight as he led the field from the pole to win the Busch Series Dover 200 as Dover International Speedway. The full time Nextel Cup driver, and part time "Buschwacker", Newman has won every Busch series race he has entered this season.

Being out front was the safest place of the evening, as the wreck filled race became ugly right from the beginning. On lap #2 Paul Menard hit Matt Kenseth as they were coming out of turn 2 causing a 14 car pileup that brought the race to a stand still under the red flag for 20 min. After the restart, another crash involving 5 cars about 6 laps later, brought the toll to about half the field being in the garage before 20 laps have even been run.

Staying safe out front was Newman, along with the rest of the lucky ones that were able to miss a majority of the carnage out on the track. And stay out front he did, with Newman leading all except 7 of the 200 laps run. Clint Bowyer was able to hold on for 2nd place, while current series leader Martin Truex Jr got a bad break involving a cut tire which dropped him to 12th.
