Jason Leffler led the rest of the field in the 1st practice session for the Busch Series Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway with a lap of 15.372 sec at 124.824 mph. Current series leader and defending Busch Series champion Martin Truex Jr was able to post the 3rd fastest time.
