Casey Mears in the Target sponsored #41 Dodge posted the fastest speed of the 1st practice session for the Nextel Cup Allstate 400 at the Brickyard with a 48.682 at 184.873 mph. Current series leader Jimmie Johnson was 11th fastest Kasey Kahne, Michael Waltrip, and Elliot Sadler.
