Brian Vickers has taken his 3rd career pole by qualifying #1 for the Nextel Cup New England 300 wuth a lap of 29.225 sec at 130.327 mph narrowly beating 2nd place qualifier Kasey Kahne who ran a 29.250 at 130.215 mph. Series leader Jimmie Johnson was only able to qualify 12th.
Race coverage starts at 1:30pm EST on TNT.
