The NASCAR Autozone Elite Division is comprised of four regional series; Midwest, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest. The entry series for local NASCAR aspiring drivers, the Elite Division is the development league for the Busch series and beyond. Each series run the exact same cars; 2,900 lbs with metal or fiberglass bodies, 101-105 in wheelbase, and 350-358 cu in engines. They run on short tracks, super speedways, and road courses to give the drivers a taste of each kind of course they may encounter if they progress to NASCAR's higher divisions.

The Midwest series primarily encompasses Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsim with races as far west as Colorado. Jamie McMurray and Travis Kvapil are products of this series.

Washington, Idaho and Montana comprise the Northwest series which is the oldest of the Elite Division bein founded in 1985. Nextel Cup star Greg Biffle was a star of this series in the early 1990's.

The Southeast series is based primarily Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. This series has produced former Nextel Cup champion Matt Kenseth, in addition to Scott Riggs and Bobby Hamilton Jr.

Finally, the Southwest series covers California and Arizona with some events in Colorado. Ron Hornaday Jr and Kevin Harvick have worked their way through this series.
