Kasey Kahne was named the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Rookie of the Year. Kasey finished 13th overall in points with 13 top-five, and 14 top-ten finishes out of 36 races. He became the youngest rookie winner at 24 after Jeff Gordon who won the award in 1993 at 22.
