The American Le Mans Series (ALMS) was started in 1999 to build an American series based on the 24 of Le Mans in Le Mans, France. This 9 race series offers 4 distinct classes in a 24 hour format that is the ultimate in endurance racing.

The LMP900(P1) class is for small displacement engines in an open cockpit, closed wheel, mid-engined congifuration. While the configuration of the LMP675(P2) is the same, it is for larger displacement engines. The GTS class covers the Corvette C-5R, Ferarri 575 GTC, Dodge Viper GTS-R, and Saleen Mustang. And finally, the GT class includes the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, and Ferarri 360 Modena.
